Cachaça is a Brazilian spirit made by distilling fermented sugarcane. It is used to make a Caipirinha, the national cocktail of Brazil. Cachaça comes in 2 kinds, pura, the pure distilled spirit, or velha, aged. Cahcaça velha is a darker, more golden colour than the typical clear cachaça pura.
