Description
While ostensibly a variant on the classic Martini, the Perfection has some key differences which make it a class apart.
Ingredients[]
- one part vermouth rosso (i.e. Italian or "sweet" vermouth)
- two parts gin
- two dashes of orange juice
Directions[]
- Combine vermouth, gin and orange juice in mixing glass.
- Pour over ice in a Champagne flute
Variants[]
- A stirred and strained version in a Cocktail glass has gained popularity, although it is more properly a variant on the Martini proper. This variant is often garnished with Orange peel.
- Some prefer to use dry vermouth or a 50-50 mix of dry and sweet vermouth (the ratio of a "perfect" martini).
