Wow! Never seen THAT before!
So I arrive home after a couple days away and find a new page on the wiki! Yaay! Then I notice the title is in Russian: "to all athletes"... as is the content: "does anyone play tennis here?" (I studied Russian before I joined the US Navy in 1981, while the Cold War was still hot).
Well, duh, I erase the spam page and just as I am about to block Mr. 128.70.149.86 "A Wikia Contributor", I notice that he's been blocked across the Wikia Network!
Gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling to know that this can be done... :D

Boy, we are certainly not a blogsphere!
Just cruising around one of my fave wikias (this one, if you need to ask!) and I suddenly notice that the most recent blog post is nearly a year old (yes, I'm exaggerating... but not by much), which I find amazing; here we are, posting, reading and elaborating on the Great Social Waterhole, yet for the most part we stay completely out of each other's way.
What do we drink? Where do we drink it? With whom... Why the heck are we here? I'm not a bartender... well, professionally anyway, but I have somehow come into an absurd amount of knowledge regarding alcoholic beverages (non-alcoholic too... I can feel you smirking as you read this).

Well, blogs are not me.
I'm private enough that I don't even upload digital pics of me on my own laptop!
But sometimes I just have something to say and in this seems the perfect place to get it off my chest:
I can't understand why people want to get drunk. It's that simple. I appreciate the fine taste of a well crafted liquor, but getting drunk is just too silly for words, ESPECIALLY paying through your nose for a badly mixed cocktail made with sub-par ingredients and the cheapest booze available.
Seriously, I want everyone to enjoy the work of those who have poured their blood and sweat into crafting a fine spirit, but there is no need to overdo it OR settle for substandard mixing OR el-cheapo brand liquor.
